Only 11 weeks to go until the 2012 Nonprofit Technology Conference! We can’t wait to see you there. We want you to make the most of this year's conference, so between now and April we will be publishing a blog post each week to highlight and explain features of the conference.
We often say our greatest resource is our community; collectively, you have the knowledge, experience, and expertise to teach each other how to do your work better. One way we amp up the community awesome at the Nonprofit Technology Conference is by giving you opportunities to connect with each other and share what you know. Here are a couple of ways to connect and share at the 2012 NTC:
Social Event Survey
NTC attendees love to meet over dinner, coffee, or drinks to socialize and learn from each other. We want to help make sure your social event is successful, so this year we’re inviting you to tell us what social events and meet-ups you would like to see. Then, based on the interest we see, we’ll plan and schedule social events, and add them to the NTC Agenda. To be successful, an event or outing must have sufficient interest and someone who offers to lead it.
Ignite
If you thought lectures had to be long and soporific, think again. NTC Ignite is back for another evening of fast-paced presentations that are both entertaining and educational. Share your passion or fascination with the NTC Community. There’s only one catch: you are limited to twenty slides which advance automatically every 15 seconds, for a total of five minutes presentation time. The format keeps you on your toes, and your audience engaged.

myNTC and Social Media
Connect with the NTC and your fellow attendees through social media! The hub for the 2012 NTC is our myNTC, our social media platform, where you can message other attendees, view the agenda, and read session descriptions. You can also connect on Facebook, Twitter, and Linked in!

Progressive Party
We want to celebrate the wonderful work you all do, and what better way to celebrate than with a party? Why, many parties, of course! At the NTC Progressive Party on Wednesday night, you will be able to attend a variety of events organized by NTEN members and volunteers at various venues in the neighborhood around the San Francisco Hilton. We’ll provide a map of locations and encourage you to visit as many parties as possible. We hope you will be able to take a break, see a little more of San Francisco, and have fun with your fellow nptechies.
The Progressive Party is a great way for NTC supporters and sponsors to reach out and connect with attendees. If you are interested in hosting a party, or if you have any questions, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
